About Us

I’m Sandra, age 44. I became a mom late in life. I met my hubby to be in 1998. We were friends and within months a relationship blossomed. I was born and raised in Texas and my hubby was born in Virginia but grew up in Indiana.

We became parents of a preemie in late 1999. Our first son was born with a multitude of medical problems but faith, love and hope and perseverance, he made it through those few few days when doctors thought otherwise.

He was enrolled with an Early Childhood Intervention program (from birth to age three). His occupational and physical therapists helped us to teach him to roll, work with his large muscle groups and as he got older to learn to sit, walk and use his hands.

It was during our first years as parents that we decided our son needed more than a public school setting to help him with his educational needs. My son started working with his occupational and physical therapists to learn to sit, walk and use his hands. My husband and I decided as parents to homeschool despite having a child with special needs. In the beginning, we were faced with criticism along the way… we’ve gained supporters of our family and its decision to homeschool.

Each week, we share ideas on homeschooling boys as well as give insight finding resources for themes, curriculum, books, teaching special needs, arts and crafts and alittle bit of everything in between... I often try to post free printables that I create. I do this because I believe in helping others. I ask you to journey with us and share the joy of teaching.

An ABC Jesus Loves Me curriculum user suggested that I take a look at a particular site which lead me to your site. I believe that the ideas on your site would be something that our Mommys would really enjoy. I would like to link to your site and in return would love for you to consider linking to our site - I think that you will find our site to be an easy but fun way to lay a solid foundation in our little ones.

I look forward to hearing from you!
